I’ve received so many positive comments about this design, which is great! Thanks to everyone for their kind words and encouragement it means a lot to me.
Even though it might not seem as though I’ve progressed a great deal since the last post in terms of the overall look, I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to tackle separating the maquette for moulding and getting the pose right.
The detail pass is always the slowest and I’m trying not to jump to that stage too soon which is something I’ve been guilty of in my earlier models. I need to get the secondary forms as close to perfect as a can so I wont end up destroying detail that’s taken time to produce. I’m being strict with myself and I hope it will pay off.
Medusa Progress wip details by ~firecrow78 is a highly unique approach to the original descriptions and images that spring to mind when I hear the name Medusa, however I love the style and design the artists has worked into this piece. (Featured by `Thebuild)
This should've been the Medusa that was in that corny "Clash of the Titans" remake.

How are you going to mould this? Is she already split into removable parts or are you going to cut her after she's finished and repair the details? Are you going to be selling this as a kit?
this one doesn't only kickass, this one is truly sick! ugly but cool face, extremely beautiful body, and a dangerous design of snakes. I also like the pose how she's hangin' in the air!!! (p.s. I'll send you a note too because I have a question)

I think this is a truly original take on Medusa. You are a great sculptor and I just love the fact that you're leting us watch how this piece is evolving. I'm really looking forward to see it complete. Maybe you already know it, but H.P. Lovecraft and Zealia Bishop write a Medusa related story, that you might found here: [link] I hope you like it

This is probably one of the best sculpts I have seen in my entire life, and considering my early fascination of warhammer and RPG's, I've seen quite a lot. The details are amazing, the concept is fantastic, and I can't express how I wish for this to become a mold in the end, just because I would love to paint something like this. It is beyond amazing. No doubt.
